donk wins FACEIT's Season 8 in CS2

Team Spirit's Danil "donk" Kryshkovets won the eighth season of FACEIT in the European region. The Russian esports athlete played 160 games with a 76% winrate. Kryshkovets also set the record for the highest ELO score on FACEIT.

During Season 5, Kryshkovets recorded 5494 ELO, more than 750 points ahead of his closest competitor. Remarkably, Kryshkovets won the first five seasons of FACEIT, but lost to Liam "MaiL09" Tügel and Daniil "qw1nk1" Kabilov in Seasons 6 and 7, respectively.

The new FACEIT season kicks off on August 9. Along with it, the Vertigo map will return to the platform, a shared voice chat between teams will be added during side switching, and an updated anti-cheat will be released.
