HLTV recaps season – top contenders for HLTV Awards 2026 revealed

HLTV.org has summarized the first 2026 season of competitive Counter-Strike, naming the top performers in a number of categories, including Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Team of the Year, and others, who are currently among the top contenders for the annual awards.

The top players for the first half of 2026 were Team Spirit's Danil "donk" Kryshkovets, Falcons' Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov, and Vitality's Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut, Shahar "flameZ" Shushan, and Robin "ropz" Kool.

The current top squads according to HLTV are Falcons, NAVI, PARIVISION, Team Spirit, and Vitality. The IGLs of the aforementioned teams (except NAVI) are leading the race for the title of in-game leader of the year.

HLTV.org previously revealed the date and location of the 2026 HLTV Awards ceremony. The event will take place on January 9, 2027, in Belgrade, Serbia, at Sava Centar.
