Europe to receive additional slot at next CS2 Major

Monte's victory over paiN in the second stage of IEM Cologne Major 2026 argued the European region an additional slot at the next Counter-Strike 2 Major.

Therefore, 18 teams from Europe will compete at PGL Singapore Major 2026 (compared to 17 at the ongoing tournament in Cologne). The number of berths for the Americas has been reduced by one, with nine squads from the region going to Singapore. The number of Asian teams will remain the same: five.

Notably, PGL Singapore Major 2026 will take place from November 24 to December 13, 2026, with 32 teams competing for a $1.25 million prize pool.
