Wildcard appoints new head coach

North American esports organization Wildcard has announced the appointment of Łukasz "splawik" Jahns as head coach of its Counter-Strike 2 roster. The official announcement was published on X. splawik replaces James "JamezIRL" Macaulay, who officially departed the team on April 10.

25-year-old Polish esports athlete joined the squad on a trial basis a few weeks ago: with him, Wildcard placed 5th-8th at Urban Riga Open 3, 9th-12th at Roman Imperium Cup VII, and 9th-11th at PGL Bucharest 2026. Prior to that, Jance had served as the team’s assistant coach for several months, while throughout last year he coached Wildcard’s academy.

At the moment, Wildcard sits 59th in the official ranking of the world’s strongest Counter-Strike 2 teams according to Valve. Squad did not qualify for IEM Cologne Major 2026. A few days ago, Danny "Cxzi" Strzelczyk also joined the team.
