Rumor: fer to play for Gaimin Gladiators at IEM Cologne Major 2026

According to unconfirmed reports, the Brazilian team Gaimin Gladiators will be replacing one player on their Counter-Strike 2 roster for the upcoming IEM Cologne Major 2026. Dust2 Brasil reported this, citing its own sources.

According to media reports, Fernando "fer" Alvarenga, who has been registered as a sixth man for the Major, will be traveling with the squad to the tournament in Cologne. Alvarenga is set to replace João "felps" Vasconcellos.

Notably, fer's previous team was Imperial – he competed for them from February 2022 to January 2023, after which he became inactive.

Gaimin Gladiators currently sits 35th in Valve's ranking of the world's strongest Counter-Strike 2 teams. The roster will compete in the first stage of IEM Cologne Major 2026.
