Eternal Fire signs MisteM
24-year-old South African esports athlete Gareth "MisteM" Ries has taken over as the new IGL of Eternal Fire's Counter-Strike 2 roster. The official statement was made on the X social media platform.
MisteM's previous team was Young Ninjas, Guy which he played since March of last year, after spending several months on NIP's main roster.
Notably, on April 13, Eternal Fire announced changes to its Counter-Strike 2 squad. The organization benched Sergiy "DemQQ" Demchenko and demoted Emrecan "EMSTAR" Çalışkan to the youth roster. On April 14, Iulian "regali" Harjǎu joined the team.
Currently, Eternal Fire is 70th in Valve's official ranking of the world's strongest Counter-Strike 2 teams. The roster failed to qualify for IEM Cologne Major 2026.
