CS2's average player count grows for fifth month in a row

Counter-Strike 2's average monthly player count has increased again over the past month. In February 2026, the average player count grew by 1.28% (over 13,000 players) compared to the previous month. This is the best number since June 2023.

In contrast, peak player count in February decreased compared to January, from 1.654 million to 1.627 million users. The statistics were provided by the analytics service Steam Charts.

Notably, several minor updates were released in Counter-Strike 2 in February. In the latest update, the developers improved map scripting.
