FaZe's David "frozen" Čerňanský took 8th place in the ranking of the best pro Counter-Strike 2 players of 2025, according to HLTV.org.
The Slovak esports athlete's main achievements this year include second place at StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, as well as third places at PGL Bucharest 2025 and BLAST Open London 2025. Čerňanský was named EVP at StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, PGL Bucharest 2025, PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, and ESL Pro League Season 22.
frozen's average rating for the year was 1.17. The HLTV.org editorial team recognized David for having the best Nuke rating on the CS2 pro scene, the second-best Anubis rating, the third-best rating against top-5 opponents, and much more.

Notably, HLTV.org has been publishing the top 20 Counter-Strike 2 players of the past year every day, starting December 24th. The top three players will be revealed on January 10th at the HLTV Awards 2025 ceremony. The winner of 7th place will be announced tomorrow, January 6th, at 8:00 PM CET. Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato placed 9th.
