BIG bids farewell to FreeZe

German esports club BIG has announced the departure of Lukas "FreeZe" Hegmann from the team. The official statement was published on the organization's X social media account.

The 27-year-old German esports athlete has been competing for BIG since October of last year, having previously worked with the team for a couple of months as an assistant coach. Prior to that, he was part of the BIG academy.

Earlier, a rumor surfaced on the web that fnatic's Benjamin "blameF" Bremer had already signed a contract with the German club. Furthermore, according to an insider, Josef "faveN⁠" Baumann will also be joining BIG's Counter-Strike 2 roster, replacing David "prosus" Hesse.

BIG currently sits 35th in Valve's official ranking of the world's strongest Counter-Strike 2 squads. The team did not participate in StarLadder Budapest Major 2025.
