Counter-Strike 2 takes first place in prize money total for year among all disciplines
Counter-Strike 2 took first place among all esports disciplines in terms of total prize money awarded at competitions in 2025. Statistics were shared by the analytical portal Esports Charts.
In 2025, over $30 million was awarded in Counter-Strike 2 – a 41.5% increase compared to last year. Dota 2 ranks second in this category ($23 million), while the mobile game Honor of Kings rounds out the top three ($21 million).
According to Steam Charts, the average online player count for Counter-Strike 2 in November 2025 increased by 3.51% (approximately 33,000 users) compared to the previous month. The peak player count in November also grew slightly compared to October.
