Vitality win StarLadder Budapest Major 2025

Dan "apEX" Madesclaire's squad won the second Counter-Strike 2 Major of the year, which took place from November 24 to December 14 in Budapest, Hungary, and featured 32 of the world's strongest teams.

In the final, Vitality defeated FaZe. The match ended with a scoreline of 3:1 – 6:13 on Nuke, 13:3 on Dust2, 13:9 on Inferno, 13:2 on Overpass.

Notably, the Madesclaire-led roster currently sits second in Valve's world ranking, while Finn "karrigan" Andersen and his teammates are in the top 8. The French team also won the previous Major, BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.

Vitality was invited directly to the third stage of the Major, while FaZe kicked off their run at the tournament in the first stage. En route to the final, Vitality eliminated Team Spirit and The MongolZ, while FaZe defeated NAVI and MOUZ.

For first place, Vitality earned half a million US dollars. The runner-up received $170,000. The total prize pool for StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 amounted to $1.25 million.
