Valve adds Conflict of Interest Declaration to VRS rules
Valve has added a new clause to the official Counter-Strike 2 tournament rulebook: a Conflict of Interest Declaration, which is designed to disclose player and team ties with potential tournament opponents.
According to the document, esports athletes must now disclose business ties such as joint management or ownership of organizations, shared licensing, overlapping financial obligations, and other matters. Those submitting the declaration acknowledge the risk of disqualification from the tournament or loss of prize money for incomplete disclosure of ties.
Notably, earlier this month, all 32 participants of the upcoming StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, which kicks off at the end of next month, were revealed.
