Virtus.pro benches electroNic

Esports organization Virtus.pro announced changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster. The club benched team's IGL Denis "electroNic" Sharipov.

Virtus.pro CEO Nikolai Petrossian commented on the decision:

Denis is one of the most experienced and decorated players in the world. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to build a team together that could consistently fight for top positions at the biggest tournaments. I’d like to thank him for the journey we shared, no matter how difficult it was at times. Big thanks to Denis for his genuine motivation and his readiness to take on the responsibility of being the team’s captain.

The 26-year-old Russian esports athlete joined Virtus.pro in April last year. Sharipov's average rating over the past three months is 1.00 (in 38 maps). It is not yet known who will fill the vacant position in the starting five.

Virtus.pro placed last at BLAST Open London 2025 and Esports World Cup 2025, entered the top 8 at BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 2 and secured 17th-20th place at IEM Cologne 2025. The squad currently occupies 18th place in Valve's world ranking.

 Virtus.pro are now:

 Evgenii "FL1T" Lebedev
