Astralis bench cadiaN – HooXi to replace him in Astana
Danish esports club Astralis has officially announced changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster. Casper "cadiaN" Møller has departed the team – the club has benched him. The announcement was published on Astralis' X social media account.
The organization has already revealed the name of the player who will fill the vacant position in the lineup: Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen has joined the roster as a stand-in – the Dane will take over as the team's IGL at the upcoming PGL Astana 2025.
cadiaN joined Astralis in September of last year, while before that he was part of Liquid. Møller's average rating during his time with Astralis was 0.86 – the esports athlete has not played a single tournament with a positive rating. HooXi, in turn, has been inactive since July of last year, when he was benched by G2.
Note that Astralis recently lost the regional European qualifier for BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 – the team will miss the fifth Counter-Strike Major in a row. Astralis currently occupies 14th place in Valve's world ranking.
Astralis are now:
Viktor "Staehr" Staehr
Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard
Martin "stavn" Lund
Nicolai "device" Reedtz
Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen (stand-in)
Casper "ruggah" Due (coach)
