Eternal Fire withdraw from IEM Melbourne 2025

Turkish team Eternal Fire has withdrawn from the upcoming IEM Melbourne 2025 Counter-Strike 2 tournament, which will take place this month. The event organizers announced this via its X social media account. The reason why the squad decided to withdraw from the tournament is unknown – the club itself has not made any official statements on this matter yet.

The vacant position in the competition went to SAW. At the same time, the tournament operator, based on Valve's official ranking, first approached G2, Astralis and FURIA, but only the Portuguese team accepted the invite.

IEM Melbourne 2025 will be held from April 21 to 27 in Melbourne, Australia. The total prize pool of the event will amount to $300,000 – it will be divided among 16 rosters. The full team list looks as follows:
