Official: Liquid bids farewell to coach
Dutch esports club Liquid has officially announced changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster. Coach Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg has departed the team.
Liquid's analyst Jay "DeMars DeRover" Li will temporarily take on the responsibilities of the team's coach until the organization finds a suitable candidate for the role.
Note that the 35-year-old Danish esports athlete has been working with Liquid since July of last year. Before that, he also coached Apeks, MOUZ, Renegades, and other squads.
Earlier, a rumor also surfaced on the web that 22-year-old Polish esports athlete Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek could take over as the new IGL of Liquid's Counter-Strike 2 roster.
Liquid placed 5th-8th at ESL Pro League Season 21, 9th-12th at IEM Katowice 2025 and 9th-16th at BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1. The squad currently occupies 12th place in Valve's world ranking.
