TALON disbands CS2 roster
Hong Kong-based esports organization TALON has announced the complete disbandment of its Counter-Strike 2 roster. The official announcement was published on the club's X social media account.
"This strategic move follows careful consideration of our organization’s ability to put our players in the best position to participate in all available competitions needed in particular for VRS", claims the statement from TALON.
All members of the squad, including the coach, have become free agents. At the same time, 22-year-old Pole Miłosz "mhL" Knasiak, whom the organization benched at the end of February this year, was not mentioned in the announcement.
Apparently, the club expects to return to the discipline in the future. "We will be continuing to follow the scene closely and look forward to resuming competition in the future", states the announcement.
TALON took 5th-6th place in the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Asia RMR and did not advance to the Major itself. The roster recently qualified for the MESA Asian Masters 2025 LAN tournament in Mongolia, but withdrew from the competition.
Note that TALON launched a Counter-Strike division back in 2017. In 2018, the organization disbanded the lineup, while in 2024, the club returned to the discipline with a new roster. At the moment, the team occupies 242nd place in Valve's ranking.
TALON were:
Christian "ADDICT" Pendleton
Jared "hazr" O'Bree
Aaron "AZR" Ward
Corey "nettik" Browne
Daniel "djL" Narancic (coach)
