Team from Valve's top 30 suspected of match-fixing
One of the teams in Valve's current top 30 Counter-Strike 2 ranking is suspected of match-fixing. Chinese caster Yunqing "Searph" Hu reported this via his social media accounts.
According to the caster, the Esports Ethics Commission (ESIC) has already launched an investigation into the situation, which could last several weeks. The suspects include EPL matches in 2024, although Searph did not specify which tournament he was talking about – ESL Pro League or European Pro League.
It was reported that the organizers of the upcoming tournament featuring this unnamed squad are already aware of the ESIC investigation and are ready to take action at any time to suspend and subsequently ban the said team.
A few days ago, a member of the Bulgarian team 500 Blagoi "oxygeN" Dimitrov released a statement in which he commented on the accusations against him – the esports athlete is suspected of cheating.
