Valve updates VRS ranking model in CS2

Counter-Strike 2 developers have released another update to the current tournament regulations and the invitation system for tournaments.

Thus, now forfeits will be considered the same as any other losses, meaning that ranking points will be deducted for not showing up for a match. In addition, new squads now need to play five matches instead of ten to determine their position in the ranking.

Finally, points will now be given to teams only after the tournament is fully completed, and not after it is eliminated. Moreover, now club rewards in addition to prize money (for example, at ESL tournaments) will also be taken into account when calculating ranking points.

Earlier, esports organizations addressed the Counter-Strike 2 developers with an open letter in which they complained about serious flaws of the current tournament model.
