Virtus.pro and Astralis lose their openers at IEM Katowice 2025

First playday of the prestigious IEM Katowice 2025 Counter-Strike 2 tournament ended in Katowice, Poland, with eight teams getting one step away from advancing to the next stage of the event.

FURIA, Wildcard, GamerLegion, paiN, MIBR, 3DMAX, Eternal Fire and HEROIC secured victories in the first round of Play-In matches – tomorrow they will fight for four tickets to the group stage of the competition. Accordingly, Imperial fe, BIG, SAW, Virtus.pro, Astralis, FlyQuest, Complexity and Liquid dropped to the lower bracket.
