StarLadder cancels 19th season of StarSeries

Tournament operator StarLadder announced the cancellation of the 19th season of StarSeries, which was originally scheduled for the period from May 26 to June 1, 2025. The statement was published on StarLadder's official website.

This decision was made due to the increase in the duration of the Major in Austin, caused by the expansion of the number of participants from 24 to 32 squads.

Thus, the company will hold only one Counter-Strike 2 tournament in 2025, namely the 20th season of StarSeries. It will take place from September 13 to 21 in Budapest, Hungary, featuring 16 teams.

Qualifiers in Europe are scheduled for August 12-17 (16 rosters, two will advance to the tournament), in South and North America – for July 15-21 (8 teams, one strongest in each region will qualify for the event). All invites to the closed qualifiers will be issued on July 4 based on Valve's official ranking.
