RMR openers announced

Tournament operator Perfect World has unveiled the pairs of opponents for the openers of the upcoming Counter-Strike 2 Shanghai Major. The seeding of the teams was determined based on Valve's ranking.

Thus, NAVI will face fnatic in the first round, Team Spirit will compete against B8, BetBoom Team will fight UNiTY, Virtus.pro will pay against Passion UA, while Aurora will face Eternal Fire.

In Europe and America, the competition will be held in a Swiss format with BO1 matches (elimination matches and matches for advancing to the Major will be BO3). In Asia, the tournament will take place in a Double Elimination format (the openers will be BO1, the remaining matches – BO3).

The Major itself will feature 14 of the strongest representatives of the European region, seven from the Americas, and three from Asia. The top 8 squads from Europe will go straight to the Elimination Stage, while the rest will advance to the Opening Stage.

Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will take place from November 30 to December 15 in Shanghai, China. The event will feature a total prize pool of $1.25 million, which will be divided among 24 squads. RMRs will play out from November 12 to 24.
