kassad: "Teams have decided to stay and play the Skyesports Masters 2024, but with an ultimatum"

BLEED's coach, Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović, announced that the participants of Skyesports Masters 2024 agreed to compete at the tournament on the condition that all the subsequent matches of the event will take place without delays, according to the schedule. The Serbian esports athlete told this via his X social media account.

Teams have decided to stay and play the event, but with an ultimatum.

In case of any more longer delays, everyone is pulling out and going home.

Aurora's caster, RomaDaGGeR, added that at least one more team wanted to withdraw from the competition after BetBoom Team, but ultimately the participants decided to give the organizers another chance.

Eternal Fire wanted to withdraw from the tournament, but in the end they stayed. For which we respect them, of course. The organizers carry about this event a lot and are extremely sad that everything turned out this way.

There should have been good tables at the arena, a bunch of good monitors were stopped at customs, the tables should have been provided by the hotel workers, but you know what kind of tables they gave.

The key reason why rosters remained (other than Valve's ranking) is the reputation of esports in India. The teams believed in the organization and gave it a chance. If they had left, I think we would not have seen more events in India, or we would have seen them in 10 years again.

Skyesports Masters 2024 will take place from July 23 to 28 in Mumbai, India, at the Taj Lands End venue. The event is held in a closed format, without a live audience. It features a prize pool of $300,000. The detailed information about the tournament can be found in our article.
