Team Spirit and Virtus.pro into top 8 of Esports World Cup 2024

The first playday of Esports World Cup 2024 has ended, with Team Spirit and Virtus.pro securing berths among the eight strongest teams of the tournament.

The Dragons bested MIBR (13:4 on Nuke, 13:3 on Vertigo) in the first stage of the tournament, while the Bears got the better of Complexity (13:9 on Anubis, 13:4 on Dust2). The losing teams went to the Play-In stage, while the winners advanced directly to the playoffs.

Tomorrow, July 18, the Play-In participants will enter the fight – in a Single Elimination BO1 format they will face off for the last slot in the playoffs.
