G2 benches HooXi

Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen has officially departed G2's Counter-Strike 2 starting five. The German club announced the benching of the Dane via its X social media account.

Nielsen joined G2 in August 2022, while before that he competed for CPH Flames for over a year. With him, the squad entered the top 4 at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 and won IEM Dallas 2024, as well as placed last at the recent BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024 tournament in London. HooXi was the team's IGL.

The club did not disclose who will fill the vacant position on the roster. The team has probably already decided on a replacement, since by today, July 1, the Esports World Cup 2024 participants must complete their lineups.

Note that this is the second replacement in G2 in the last couple of weeks. Last month, the club benched Nemanja "nexa" Isaković, replacing him with Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa from M80.

 G2 are now:

 Nikola "NiKo" Kovač
 Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač
 Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov
 Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa

 Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas (coach)
