HLTV: AZR may lead Talon's new lineup

Hong Kong-based esports club Talon is rumored to be planning a return to the Counter-Strike pro scene with a new squad. HLTV revealed this citing its own sources.

According to media reports, the team will be led by the decorated Australian player Aaron "AZR" Ward, who has been inactive for over a year – in April of 2023 he was excluded from the Sprout roster.

Reportedly, the main candidates to join the starting five at the moment are Corey "nettik" Browne, Jared "HaZR" O'Bree and Christian "ADDICT" Pendleton. The club is looking for a player from Europe to take over as an AWPer – the shortlist includes Olek "hades" Miskiewicz and Beksultan "khaN" Ospan. Daniel "djL" Narancic may take on the role of the squad's coach.

Talon opened a Counter-Strike division in 2017. In 2018, the organization disbanded the team, which consisted entirely of Taiwanese esports athletes, and left the discipline.
