Rumors: Valve postpones release of big CS2 update

One of the creators of Assembly and co-author of six other official maps in Counter-Strike 2 shared via his X social media account a mysterious post about a "flight delay". The image attached to the message features a QR code with an encrypted link to the official CS website.

My flight got delayed. Anyone have any epic Counter-Strike clips to watch while I pass the time?

Many fans of the game took this post as a hint that Valve had delayed the release of a big CS2 update, which was supposed to be dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Counter-Strike.

According to rumors, the developers could have made this decision because of bugs found on the maps, which should be added to the game in a new patch. In particular, the author of the maps Lillykyu found several flaws on the aforementioned de_assembly. Valve themselves have not given any official information regarding the update.

Note that a few days ago the publisher of Counter-Strike in China revealed a large-scale celebration of the game's anniversary. The preliminary announcement of the event contained hints about a new operation.
