New $350,000 tournament announced in North America

New tournament operator United States Esports Affiliation has announced a Counter-Strike 2 event in North America, called USEA Born to Win Season 1.

The group stage of the competition will take place online over eight weeks. The final matches will play out on LAN. The event will be open to everyone, but only US citizens will be able to participate in it.

The tournament will feature a total prize pool of $350,000. Other details about the upcoming competition will be revealed later.

Some members of the CS2 community, such as the General Manager of Complexity, doubt that the event will actually take place and suspect its organizers of fraudulence, citing too large of a prize pool, strange format and lack of information.
