Liquid and MOUZ through to IEM Chengdu 2024 playoffs; 9z and TYLOO out

Liquid and MOUZ are the first teams to advance to the playoffs of IEM Chengdu 2024, having secured two consecutive victories in Group A. In the upper bracket semi-finals, Casper "cadiaN" Møller's squad bested G2 (13:6 on Ancient, 10:13 on Anubis and 13:9 on Inferno), while the Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek-led roster got the better of FURIA (8:13 on Nuke, 16:14 on Vertigo and 13:9 on Mirage).

At the same time, the openers of the lower bracket played out, in which the losers were left without the opportunity to continue the competition. HEROIC defeated 9z 2:0 (13:11 on Nuke and 13:8 on Mirage), while Lynn Vision prevailed over TYLOO in two maps (13:7 on Nuke and 13:6 on Ancient).

The match between Liquid and MOUZ in the group final will play out on April 10, determining which roster will advance directly to the semi-finals of the tournament. In turn, the competition in the lower bracket will continue tomorrow, April 9: HEROIC will face FURIA, Lynn Vision will compete against G2.
