s1mple: "I still want to make my team #1, no matter what team it is"

Ukrainian esports athlete Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev is still motivated to show exceptional results in Counter-Strike, despite his long period of inactivity. He stated this in a vlog on the YouTube channel of his All Stars Promotion project.

Really, my motivation is still the same, maybe just slightly down. But I still want to make my team #1, no matter what team it is. And still achieve the highest results. The most exciting and best part for me is winning tournaments and sharing it with the audience. It's the most incredible thing there is. And I think it's true for all sports or esports. Playing on the stage, under pressure, and showing your best result is the most exciting feeling there could be.

Note that in October of last year, s1mple moved to NAVI's bench on his own initiative. The player had been inactive until mid-February, when he was rented by Falcons for participation in BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024, where he played only one match.

At the moment, it is unknown when Kostyliev will fully return to the CS2 pro scene. He previously said that he intends to start competing after the end of PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024.
