PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 seeding to be determined based on Valve ranking

The seeding of participants at PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 will be determined based on the Valve ranking, which will be updated after March 4. Tournament operator PGL announced this via its Twitter account.

Thus, the distribution of slots in the respective stages will be determined based on the teams' position in the ranking. The procedure will be applicable to all three regions, namely Europe, America and Asia. Note that previously the seeding at the Majors was depended on the results of the teams' performance at RMR tournaments.

These are not the only changes affecting Majors. Valve also changed the format of the first round seeding and the names of the stages. From now on, the Major stages are called Opening, Elimination and Playoffs, replacing Challengers, Legends and Champions respectively.

PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 will take place from March 17 to 31 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The tournament will feature a total prize pool of $1.25 million.
